how people make time for blogging??!! Here it has been since the first of the year since I done anything and before that was not much better.

I'd promise myself to do this at least 3 or 4 times a week, but I'd break my own promise, lol.

I use to be so good at this blogging thing and here it is again...several months since I posted last.

When the year is up I really really want to do this YEAR IN PICTURES thing, where you take a picture everyday and post it. That is the plan! I am getting more and more forgetful and I really wanna keep this up for memory purposes. Who knows, hopefully this whole BLOG thing will stay around longer than the cardboard tampon. :)

In 16 days I will have a beautiful girl turning 17. I guess it should be more like beautiful young woman, cause that is what she really is. Everyday I envy her. She is so beautiful, so smart and has tons of friends and people who like her. Things I never had. People say she is spoiled. Yeah, spoiled with love from a family who adore her. It surely isn't the money, we don't have any, lol. From the day Glenn and I married we have struggled with the money. I keep thinking that one day we will learn how to deal. I wished we had already cause I worry all day everyday how we will be able to send this girl to college, something I want her to have. It is something she needs and wants for herself. She is Growing up so so fast!

for my girls today and I didn't even get the "first day of school" picture of them! Sometimes I am such a numb nut! They looked cute too.

Tater said she was in shock that I didn't drag her outside. I am FULL OF SURPRISES sometimes, lol.

It blows my mind that Taylor is a Junior this year and Hannah, while she still looks like a kindergartner, is in 6Th grade. It's wild how time has flown by. Glenn and I, our anniversary is Thursday, 17 years!! All good too, no bad. :)

Well, as bad as I want to continue typing, I am in pain from cleaning up the concession stand earlier. I feel like I didn't do much but dang I was sweating like a pig!!! I still got some more to do though. I am very excited about this years Marching Season. The show is great so far. It always give me chills when our band plays.

For the past few days Glenn has been feeding these little cuties :

I call them Mutt and Jeff. There are just babies. If I can't find Glenn, he is out on the front porch watching them run around.

Yesterday he got so tickled at how that one was almost wrapped around the tree branch and he wanted pictures.

Sunday, Blakeley, Hannah-Claire, and I had the best time together. They got me up around noon, for FISHING:

Sunday fishing was better than Saturday. I changed the hooks to smaller hooks and the girls caught fish.

Saturday Fun

A small trip with my Hannah-Claire to the boat launch turned out to be a full filled day of fishing.

She had a pole Glenn got her a month ago. He got it so she could fish with her cuz at the camp grounds. Hannah wanted to fish so we took off to the camp grounds to get her pole.

Afterwards we stopped of at the bait shop. We got a container of worms, paid, and we started looking at cane poles. I asked how much and the owner told Hannah-Claire to pick her out one, that it was on him :) That he tries to do one good deed a day!

It was hilerious!! We were in the bug and Hannah picked out the longest pole she could find. But, here we go down the road with 1/2 this pole hanging out the bug. I caught one fish and Hannah none. Hannah used almost the whole container of worms. We laughed and decided she was only feeding the fish. Later, Glenn showed up and said he thought her hook was too big to catch those little brim.

Hannah and I ended up staying till the sun went down. I had such a blast watching her fish. I have not fished since I was her age.

She is such a treat, I love her so much. I know she is growing up, but she still sees the joy in the smallest things.

I finished Taylor's necklace! I love it. I took it apart so many times that I wondered if I would get it done in time for her to wear it to the movie tonight.

I am so glad it is Friday. It is going to be nice having the long weekend. My SIL asked if we had plans for the 4th. I said, "no and it wouldn't hurt my feelings any if no one called us for a cookout." I have worked so hard on cleaning the house and washing clothes that I would love the alone time. We NEVER have an empty house and that's okay, but I feel I just wanna stay home and enjoy my hard work.

It's been a while since I scrapped. After cleaning out my scrap stuff and cabinets I got the urge to scrap again. Hoping to get a little time to myself this weekend. I had ordered a lot of new stuff and got 2 new kits in the mail this week. It is like Purdy overload of scrap goodness! OMGOSH at the gorgeous stuff I got yesterday in the mail.....July kits from Polkadot Whimsy. This is the prettiest kit I think I have ever gotten. Loads of goodies for the money. I was scared to get back into the KIT scene, but I think I will stay with this one for awhile.

It's Friday and I am ready to get this work day started and over quick. Bring it on.... M

Ferret Fun

Here is our new family member. Her name was or is Chloresa. But we were told too, she was a he, so we are not sure :) So, if she is a boy, his name will be Clint.

He is around 6-7 years old. He is such a sweetie. We spend $150 last night at Petco getting him a new cage, hammock, food, potty, collar, and toys. A animal/pet is NEVER free.

All we did last night was sit in Hannah's floor and watch him play and touch his nose. He has yet to open his mouth to bite us. Hannah is 100% attached to this animal already! She was hooked within the first hour of having him. He checked out her room and everything else in the floor that he could crawl into. Under the dresser...under the bed...under the chest of drawers...all you heard was a little bell, and all you saw was a cute wet nose pop out from time to time.

I do believe Hannah will love him to death. They've already become pals.

Taylor got a new haircut. She keeps getting it a little more shorter every time it gets cut. She's gonna have a buzz cut before long. It makes her look a little more grown up. It looks great on her.

Did nothing this whole weekend but shop and clean. I've been working on cleaning out cabinets, drawers, and getting rid of unused items. So far we donated 7 bags of clothes, TV, and other big items. Our house is too small to be a pack rat. No hoarding here at the Posey house.

3 years and counting!

This is 3+ years worth of bills and junk mail that was literally piled up in the cabinets of the laundry room. (all that has accumulated since we moved into this house)

I am really good at organizing somethings and really bad at others. Someone at work gave us one of these cute small freezers for free. I needed a place to put it, cause it was not staying in the kitchen. So I attacked the laundry room. It put up a pretty good fight too.

I found 3 years worth of missing socks behind the dryer. Along with wash rags, underwear, and loads if pens and pencils. Not to mention the $2.30 I found in change and enough lit to kill a herd of buffalo. Much to my surprise, I did not run into any critters, alive or dead.

The cabinets are cleaned out now and back to being organized with my craft supplies and rubber stamps.

Two more pieces of furniture are in the laundry room now; and surprisingly there is still enough room to walk and turn around in. Just as long as I keep it clean I think it will all work out well.

There is a terrible mess in the kitchen, but it's almost like Spring cleaning. My AWESOME 60's table is going to be the center of attention!! :) I'll post pictures when all is clean.

I feel like I have accomplished a lot in a few hours, but a lot more to still do.

I've told Glenn so many times, that one day, when we win the lottery, I want to go and visit lighthouses. I've mentioned CT, Maine, and New York. Just to go and have a wonderful time visiting those beautiful states, the water fronts, and run by OCC....LOL (just for Glenn).

We don't travel much, we are such homebodies. But I think this would be such a beautiful place to stay at.

Sunday, I cooked a Valentine Dinner. My mom was there, My FAVORITE in-laws, and Malyeah. Malyeah and Hannah-Claire decorate a table with whatever Valentine goodies they could find. I didn't have a red table cover, but they found my red felt. I had a piece large enough to cover the table. They also cut out hearts with some white glittery felt I had as well.

I would LOVE to post some pictures, but for some freakin reason every time I try to upload them, I get logged off. After about 15 times, I just got pissy and decided it wasn't going to happen.

I will try it later.

woke from a nightmare . . .

I was sleeping pretty good till I got woke up by a bad dream....grrr...

Gave me a chance to post some pictures anyway from Saturday. Hannah-Claire has decided to be a girl for a day, she wanted to be in the Little Miss Rebel Pageant :) We've been dress hunting. My mom's friend told her about this dress store is Tennessee. So we drive and hour and a half there to find this horrible dress store. Not saying the name of the place or what city it was in, but it was BAD BAD BAD!! However, to make this horrible trip good, we were able to bribe Hannah-Claire to try on one of the MANY ugly dresses in the store. It cost us a $6.00 donation to the "Humiliate Hannah-Claire Fund", but it was totally worth it!

OMG, we laughed so hard at her and this dress, till she screamed to take it off. I think she may have gotten fleas from trying it on.

She wears dresses from time to time, but NOTHING like this! It might take us awhile to find her something, but we will :) We are getting the shoes this weekend, that was the easy part, they got Hannah written all over them!

On the way back we all had a fun time on the side of the road. Several places were like this. Places where there was beautiful icicles running down the rocky ledges.

I suppose I will try going to bed once again.

It looks like it stopped snowing outside, so I don't guess I will get to stay home today due to the weather.

Valentine crafts

My sweet little neice Kirby came over today and I had a couple of Valentine crafts for her and Hannah-Claire to do. I saw the heart crayons on The Long Thread blog. I thought this would be fun and cute. I went to Hobby Lobby and I ended up finding this really cute cookie pan for $15.99 plus 40% off. This what the girls and I made the crayons from. They turned out so stinkin' cute!

I found this craft off of The Long Thread blog too. The girls had fun making the felt bowls. I let the girls use my crop a dile to put large eyelets in the corners. Then then slid ribbon thru the hole for a little extra color.

They made cards to put their crayons in.

Last night I worked on getting together all the items I might possibly use for this layout. Then, I got tired and decided I would do the page after work today.

I watched tv for a couple of hours and was so tired, but I never fell asleep. I turned off every spec of light I could see and turned the tv to channel 924, 80's music radio. About 12:30 AM I was still awake (real shocker I know) so I got up and did this layout. So now, after work today, I can work on another one!! I got to bed finally around 2 am, which is normal anyway.

It looks ALOT like the Yellow layout from the night before, but oh well. I haven't got new scrap supplies in so long. I always seem to go straight to the paper flowers and buttons.

After 16 years of marriage, I have NEVER been to the doctor's office with my husband. Now I have taken him to the ER a time or two, but never to a doctor's appointment.

Glenn has/HAD this large cyst on his shoulder/chest area. He has had it removed twice before, but it got bigger and bigger till it was time to remove it again.

I joked for the longest saying I seen it done on YouTube, that "I" could do it for him for free :) I could slice that thing open and squish it all out, but he is such a chicken, he wouldn't let me. So I told him, when he has it done, I AM GOING.

Here he is, waiting patiently as I am snapping shots till he gives me a dirty look!

The doctor came in, sliced it all open and squished that cottage cheese looking mess out. It was wicked awesome, lol! I was all up in the doctor's business, asking questions and being an onlooker. It was funny as crack mess but I knew my hubby was in pain. I don't think I couldn't have done it without squalling like a baby. That doctor was in no way easy going at it.

But hubby is alive and kicking, and here to tell the tale :)

Morning everyone.... Just trains really!

I took these yesterday, I love watching the train cars go by. I'm probably the only person who like to get caught at the tracks when a train is coming.

Glenn goes this afternoon for the removal of his cyst. This should be fun! I am going along for the show :)

I forgot to update you on the babies!

The momma had made a nest in one of the signal boxes in the company warehouse, this being where the babies were. Another lady and I dug the babies out of the garbage. The guys had run the momma off.

I found my hubby and he got me a rag and a small box to put them in they were so cold. I put them in front of a small heater I keep by my desk and got them all toasty warm. This being during the time I start calling people.

After calling just about everyone I knew and vet offices, I finally called the wildlife refuge and I spoke to the sweetest woman named, Amy. She said the wildlife refuge no longer took mammals as of last Summer. I didn't ask why, i just told her how the babies come about and what was going on with them.

She's been a volunteer there for 13 years. Another lady who was also a volunteer for 9years and Amy started a non-profit organization called WILD MAMMAL CARE OF ALABAMA.

She was in Birmingham, which is 1 to 1-1/2 hours away. She said that squirrel mommies will hunt and hunt for her babies, so if we put them back she might come back. It was so cold in the warehouse, when I was holding them they were like little ice cubes. So she said my other option was to take them to a vet and have then euthanized so I wouldn't see them starve and suffer. Or she could meet me to get them.

They were so sweet and I couldn't keep my eyes off of them at all. Every now and then I would touch them to see how warm they were. I didn't want to bake them. I would touch them and they would stretch and sometimes they would let out a little squeal. I rubbed one of their little ears and it's leg went up and down like a dog does, it was such sweetness. All during my life my mom and dad took in every single animal. Anyone found something hurt or needed care, they knew to call us. We had it all from the normal dogs and cats, to the abnormal of snakes, raccoons, skunks, and even mom nursed a pack of baby coyotes. I have bottle raised two kittens before but that's as far as I have gotten. I wanted the squirrels to live so bad, but I wasn't the one to do it.

Around 3, before Glenn and I left work, the guys in the warehouse said they saw the momma squirrel. So I decided to let them put them back and see if momma would come back. The heat was on then and up top of the warehouse, the guys said was very warm.

So that was that as of yesterday afternoon.....

This morning I get to work, they check on them. THEY ARE STILL ALIVE!! We named them Matt and Steven, lol, after the guys in the warehouse.

They were warm and alive. We think the momma came back.

I called Miss Amy to tell her that and she was so excited. I had got a message at work from her and didn't know it. She was making arrangements to come get them from me but I never called her back. I told her what they looked like and she said they were about 2 days old. Squirrel moms are very nurturing mothers. They will hunt and hunt for their babies for miles. She said they would not have made it through the night without her, so she had to have come back and cared for them.

I am going to continue to watch Matt and Steven :) I have updates from time to time.

I got a few projects in mind for the weekend, I hope I keep up my end of the bargin and do them, or at least make an effort to. I got a butt load of red felt to play with and some cute pink and red strawberry materal. I would LOVE to make an apron out of the material, but I have to find my sewing machine foot petal that Hannah lost. CrAzY little gal!

Lord knows I need another apron to go along with my collection. I can't help it! A girl has to collect something when she don't like shoes and purses :)

we were here in the office just now talking. My Hannah-Claire gave some of the office gals those silly bands. I'm so sure you all know about the SILLY BANDS!! I told them how she trades them at school. And they know how she is, they got so ticked thinking how she's on the "Sales Floor" doing her trading. It got us thinking how we trading things when we were younger and the THINGS we did trade.

We're all different ages, so there was a slight difference in the things we traded. Of course we had the typical baseball cards, marbles, and there was mine... not baseball cards, but those funny Garbage Pails Kids cards. Other than the cards, stickers was the only things I can remember trading. Times and items changes but the basic trading of items for kids are here to stay.

I got into my laundry room/scrapbook area last night and I picked out some pictures and matching papers. While it didn't go any further after that, I was excited I got the itch again. So I am in hopes to throw some pages together tonight or this week even.

It's been awhile since I've bought any scrapbook supplies. I thought I wouldn't want to look threw my papers cause it is all "old" but that wasn't the case at all. I've still got a ton of beautiful papers and hoarded up emblishments. I have a good eye for picking papers. LOL Which certainly is not the case in my clothes!!

Once upon a time . . .

there was a frog and Princess. The Princess loved the little frog very much, that one day she married him just the way he was.

Even though he was very froggy day after day, she loved him anyway.

This weekend the frog was so very sweet to his Princess.

He spent the day with her yesterday. Took her to stores and shopped with her even though he hates hopping around the stores. Even let her go to Pet Smart after she seen a sign they had animal adoptions going on in the store. Froggy took his Princess to eat lunch, and was nice to her all the day Saturday. Then today he sweetly wakes his sleepy Princess so she can again, spend more time with him.

"What has this world come too?" thought the Princess. As she pondered the thought that he could be on drugs, or possibly someone finally found that missing pool stick and removed it from his a......beepppp...... (this is a family/childrens story tale time) Whatever it was the Princess was happy. She knew that one day she would have her happy froggy back and was glad she had 2 days to spend with him. Cause when Monday comes along she is afraid a spell will be cast upon him again, and he will once again be hopping with fury.

So the moral of the story here is, while you have a happy froggy, take advantage of all the slime..opps, I meant time you have with him and have fun! Cause froggies can be quiet loving when they want to be!

I just love the new blog banner I made. It's gotten me all excited to start this blog up again. It helps me remember what I've done, and when I done it. I forget so much.

Just sitting here pondering over many things, some goofy crap and some thing are worth pondering on :) 1. Thinking about what coffee K-cups to order next and that the Mocha Nut Fudge I am drinking now sure is awesome! 2. What in the heck is Buddy chewing on now, and where in the house will he crap it out? 3. Hope Tater drives safe on her way to the gym. 4. How I luvs my bestest friend and wished she didn't always worry about her ass of an ex-husband anymore. 5. and oh how I wished the both of us could find a money tree. 6. Is Hannah actually using soap in the shower? 7. When will my hubby will be home? 8. I actually feel like calling my mommy, but my phone is dead AGAIN!! gzzzz..... There's so much more, but I figure that's all I will bore you with now. If you can help me with any of it, you just let me know. Can't believe I haven't posted anything since November?? Where has the time gone?

I guess I have been cleaning the whole time. Took me 3 days to clean out my laundry room/ scrap storage area. Got these awesome buckets from Family Dollar and use them for storage, cause they got in the cabinets perfectly.

Then it took me the weekend to get county dump cleaned up, Hannah's room. 3 bags of garbage and 4 1/2 bags of clothes later . . . . .

She got the new bed and promised, for the bed, that she would clean her room. Well, it didn't happen and we had the bed for 2 weeks. I finally did it.

Glenn got the cable on in her room and now she is actually staying in there watching tv and reading. WOO HOO! Happy Days :)

Going to a crop tomorrow at Scrapbook Mania in Bessemer, AL. Can't wait, I sooooo need a break!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Hope everyone is safe and enjoying their extra long weekend, I am!

My thing every year is going to the balloon festival at Point Mallard. Seems the same balloons are there every year, but I still love to see them.

This year we had Gracie Lou, so she got to enjoy everyone as well. She got a ton of attention. Poor thing walked those little short legs off!! She probably thought we were punishing her in some way, but when we finally sat in the field she napped a little.

Here is my wonderful niece Holly and Gracie chilling out and waiting for the balloon glow. She just graduated Thursday from Austin High. Holly that is, not Gracie :)

These are the balloons. I tried to get themas they were glowing, but my camera turns to crap after dark.

Gracie just sitting around. I have to say she is an amazing dog. Very Smart and fun, she did so good. We got there around 3:30 and left around 9 pm (I think) and she was no problem. She came home and went right to her kennel, she was pooped!

My other sweetie, Hannah-Claire. She roamed around the whole time playing games and SHOPPING!

I haven't had any pictures taken of me recently. I don't like my picture taken because no one catches my good angle. Well, yesterday, I took this one of myself at the library! Nice shot I must say myself . . . . .

Sure was nice out yesterday. While the girls played on the computers, I sat outside. Today it's cold and they say we are going to have a high chance of snow tomorrow. WE SHALL SEE! I bet we don't. Here it is March, the trees and flowers are blooming and they say we are getting snow. But, hey, as weird as our weather has been being, we probably will; a foot of it I hope.

Tomorrow I'l be over at Scrapbook Mania if anyone wants to stop by to say HI! I signed up Taylor and one of her friends to take LaTonya Disney Album Kit.

I'm trying to push off a sinus infection. First one I've had since my nose surgery, which I think was back in '02 or '03. It's been awhile anyway.

Been digging around on Etsy this morning . . . .

This would make for a neat page, I love this paper ribbon.

I had to get these cupcakes for Taylor. And I just got some old 45 records from the library Sunday, so I had to get these record tags too. I bought the records thinking they would look awesome on a scrap page. These are also cute (chick tags) with Easter coming up so soon this year.

All of these are amazing!! Scroll and boarders Oh and I am a sucker for Chandelier stuff.

I ordered 2 shirts from Treehouse28 and I LOVE THEM! Very well made, I keep looking at the arm warmers, but have not broke down to getting them yet. I get so cold when I scrap I thought these would help, but I just haven't got them yet, maybe soon; I think they are so cute and funkee!

I haven't complained much, but we are in a rental house at the moment (fixen to make an offer on a house!! Keep your fingers crossed) and since before Christmas I have not been able to use the kitchen sink, the plumbing is SHOT!! We has sewer coming up from the bathroom sink, but that got fixed. The owners have been getting plumbers out there, but so far 5 have showed up but none of them will do the work!! (So it must be pretty bad) Anyhow, during that bad storm last night, I wake to get a drink and now we have a leak in the kitchen! I keep thinking I sure hope they take our offer, cause I have GOT to get out of this rental. We've never rented before, but I don't know how renters do it. It's crazy! I want out sooooo bad.

I'm sitting here coughing my head off, but I don't feel near as bad as I did yesterday. I'm tired, but I slept 13 hours from yesterday afternoon till this morning. I shouldn't be.

I love to look at photos, beautiful art makes me want to snatch up my camera and take pictures. Then to later realize, mine are so much crappier, lol. Today is such a beautiful day outside, I just might have to do that before it gets to dark outside.

Thank GOODNESS it is Payday, I was fixen to to breakdown and pawn one of the girls! I got a lot to get ready for this week before Tater goes on her Disney trip with the band. She is so excited and I'm excited for her!

Here are pics from our last game, we lost this tournament game but it sure was fun! So, basketball is over now. I looked forward to Softball season with good outdoor photographs!!!

You can't see her, but that is MY HANNAH-CLAIRE making a basket the last 11 seconds of the ball game. Would have made for a awesome story if it was the winning basket, but it still was great!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I didn't get a monetary gift today, but I did get a sweet wake up kiss and Happy Valentine's Day from Glenn and the girls.

Yesterday I was out looking for something to give the girls for V-Day and I didn't wanna waste money on, YET ANOTHER, stuffed animal. They have close to 500 (yes, I am exaggerating) stuffed animals and I didn't want to add to the collection. So I found some kewl folders, colored notebook papers and markers. Taylor love sharpies and they had a pretty set of pastels that I knew she would love and Hannah-Claire will take anything she can write or draw with. I got tissue paper and made a flowers from it. I waited till they were asleep to wrap the gifts. Then I laid it close beside them and laid a flower on top.

Glenn laid Hannah-Claire by me this morning, part of our "rub me till I wake up" regimen. Both of us were still in light doze mode and Taylor runs in and asked, "CAN I OPEN MY PRESENT!!!???" Hannah-Claire sits up and yells, "WHAT PRESENT??" So, we are all awake now and Taylor starts telling Hannah there was a present in her room and if she had got up by herself she would have seen the present next to her. Hannah Jumps out of bed and runs to get her present. She runs back wanting to know where I got the stuff and I acted as I didn't have a clue to what she was talking about. I got her to believing there was a CUPID and he left the stuff for her. She asked why he didn't come every year like SANTA and I said he must not have the powers Santa has. He can only go to so many houses a year and he finally made it to ours. I said, it might take another 8 years before he makes it around again. (I tell you, the crap we tell our kids) I was surpried I could even keep a straight face. Hannah said, "and everyone at school said Cupid was a myth." Taylor is just looking at me with a "I don't believe that and you know it" look. She later wispered in my ear, "Thank you and I love you too!"

I left for work and Hannah-Claire was still believing Cupid left her that gift :)

My family and I went over to the site where the tornados hit. It's really scarry when you see it so close to home.

We moved last year to the other side of Decatur, but seeing that the tornados touched down only a street over from the old house scares me to death!

The main damage is here in Moulton, about 15-20 miles away from where we live now.

Please pray for those familes of the 4 who passed and for those who are working together in clean up and rebuilding!

First thing this morning, to brighten up my day I get an email about these . . .

Here are the necklaces I was talking about the other day. She sent me the pics, are they not totally awesome! From the shop of STOOPIDGERL. I luv'm and I can't wait till Easter, it will be hard for me to give them to the girls now. I'm eager to see them in person now.

Last night was the first basketball game of the tournaments and Hannah and the team won, 11-10. It got close at the last minute, it was definitely a nail biter game. Saturday is the next game and we play the wonderful team of Little Miss Attitude problems. I'll be at my wits end with this game, I've almost decided to just stay home. These girls are mean and hateful. Hannah-Claire and one of the other ones usually have it out, she will push and push till Hannah gets sick of it and starts pushing back. Hannah's not big on the mouthing part, but she takes care of herself. lol I hope we win, but they beat up both time we played them in the regular season. We shall see!

I forgot my camera last night, I won't forget it tomorrow night.

I haven't taken any train car pics lately and when I was leaving out Wednesday, this one was sitting still on the tracks and I love it; very colorful and inspirational. (to me anyways)

Well, it's Friday morning, I'm all dressed up (kinda sorta, I IRONED a shirt and curled my hair, that's dressed up for me) , I got my ipod going, I feel it's gonna be a terrific day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M
